Advanced Life Support Ambulance Leadership
The leadership of SMCAS’s advanced life support ambulance services are Brian Scribner and Josh Kay. They lead SMCAS in its commitment to provide the best and most-advanced life support transportation services available to those in Southwest Michigan. As members of the community themselves, our leadership team cares for those in SMCAS’s service area by providing both dependable life support transportation services as well as training through our education center’s education program to train EMTs. When it comes to the health of those in Southwest Michigan, our leadership ensures our team members are always ready to provide only the best care.
Brian Scribner
Executive Director
Brian Scribner has 34 years of service in EMS and has worked in EMS leadership for more than 25 years. He Joined the team at SMCAS in 2014 as it’s Executive Director. Brian is a licensed Paramedic, holds a degree in Healthcare Administration, and has his certification in Ambulance Service Management. Brian uses his knowledge and experience to navigate the complexities in delivering the highest quality ambulance service available.
Josh Kay
Operations Manager
Josh Kay has over 27 years of service in EMS, carries his ASM certification, and holds his Critical Care Paramedic License. Kay is known for his willingness to lend a hand when things get tough and is often seen working alongside his team to care for the community. In 2021 Josh was honored as the EMS Practitioner Of The Year for the State of Michigan for his hard work in protecting his coworkers and our community during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Our community is fortunate to have Josh’s talent and experience guiding our team through the challenges of providing high quality Emergency Medical Services.
